Web networking solutions for bands and musicians
Comprehensive internet promotion is vital for the success of any musician’s career. With professional musicians on staff, we have spent years designing and maintaining websites for bands and various musical projects. Through these experiences, we have realized the importance of having an online presence that consists of your own personal website, and also of social networking sites (Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, etc.), blogs, and an online store.
Over the years, we have had many of our musician friends ask for help in not only developing a website, but also creating an online publicity network that integrate these different elements to reach the maximum number of potential fans.
Launchingpad.com is offering these web networking solutions in a package that includes all the basic building blocks to either get you started, or to enhance your total online presence – and you can get back to the important thing – playing music!
What’s included:
1. A website
The hub of your network. It is here that you want to draw your fans to. This is where your store is located, so your visitors will be able to buy your CDs and T-shirts (and anything else you want to sell). Your website is also where your blog, show dates, photos, contact info, lyrics, and all of your bells and whistles are located. What you choose to put on your website is up to you. Launchingpad will design your website and work with you to make sure you have a site you can be proud of – and we’ll make sure it’s easy for you to update and maintain once our job is done.
2. Social Networking
Everyone has a Facebook. And your band should, too! we will help set up your band’s Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, YouTube, and any other social network that might be useful for you. we’ll also help customize your themes (where applicable), to give your total online presence a consistent look and feel.
3. Integration
Launchingpad will make sure all of your sites are working together. A great web-prescence should be seamless, and there should be no doubt where to go to see the tour dates, to buy or download the CD, to find out news about the band, or to follow your updates on Twitter. All of your social networks will be one click away from your website, and your website (and store!) will be one click away from your networks. If one of your fans wants to share your post about your upcoming CD release show, they will be able to post it to their social network of choice with just one click. Your visitors will be able to subscribe to your RSS feed, or sign your mailing list. Want to accept Paypal donations? No problem. Want to create a download store? Sure. Want a Flash banner to promote your new album? Anything else? Just ask.
What you need:
1. Web Hosting
You’ll also need a server to host your website. This is where your website files will be located. There are many different servers out there, offering many different features, for many different prices. Launchingpad offers web hosting, in a variety of scenarios. For most bands, the “small business” hosting plan is more than sufficient. It costs $100 a year – but if you choose to go with a launchingpad design plan, the first year will be only $50!
2. Some content
We will need some content to get started with – a short bio, some photos, MP3s, videos, upcoming shows, or anything else you’d like to include on the site. Your site will be easy to update, so even if you’re not completely sure whether your bio is up to snuff, you’ll be able to easily change it afterwards.
